After a long, long hiatus, the page has been redesigned. Illusion of Art has had a lot of time to reorganize. Many objectives and priorities have shifted and now creating good music has become more important than before. To try and keep updates as constant as possible, a Twitter widget has been embedded into the site. If nothing else is new, at least there will be that.

Background

Illusion of Art is rock music for a postmodern world. The music of Illusion of Art is made with live instruments and computers that creates highly orchestrated songs that include elements such as chromatic guitar solos, multitracked vocals, soundchips from old home computers, and ideas from musique concrete. Illusion of Art was started in 2000 by Graham Duncan Hill, still the sole member. The first four albums of Illusion of Art were self-released under the Creative Commons license.
